A Lesson in Love
"Is that your child?" the lady asks-
it's not the first time, not the last
I'm not too sure what to say to these people
who look at my child as if he were evil.
So I just smile and tell her "Yes,
he's blood of my blood
and flesh of my flesh.
In case you're wondering, he is biracial-
and he's not cursed, he's very special.
He has TWO cultures, can't you see
and not just one like you and me.
We'll teach him that true love is blind
and of one race--that is, mankind.
He's God's child first and then he's mine
Yes, he's my child, and he's one of a kind!"
