I am a mother after all
I am expecting
a special surprise
People offer advice,
but yet criticize.
I may be still young
and not yet a wife,
But that doesn't mean
I can't bring a new life.
I've learned what it means
to be a mother,
and of all the jobs in the world
I would choose no other.
I nurture this child
living within me,
feeding him and caring for him
with his every need.
He is something
that I call truly mine,
and when he gets here
everything will be just fine.
God is sending me
a gift from above,
showing me
the meaning of true Love.
I can hardly wait
for my baby so small,
Knowing that
I am a mother...after all.
