Another holiday without you
it never gets easier
passing time saddening tears
makes me miss you all the more

Last night I listened to the wind
fingers pressed upon the pane
soothing comfort the mighty moon
because I know you play there often
~across the heavens you light the world~
I can see you flying in my dreams
you pick me up we fly away
you show me love the comfort of death
you show me there is nothing to fear
~you teach me the time is not ours to choose~
My heart will always have a hole
that only your life could fit into
life gives us pleasures then takes them away
but with good reason you're in God's home
