Nannie's Little Boy
On February 26, 1997 twin babies were born,
Named Isaiah and Emmanuel whose bond could never be torn,
"Man" was much bigger, you were so small,
I wouldn't have imagined you being this tall.
You use to talk with such a quiet voice,
Why this happened to you, it wasn't my choice.
The way you wobbled around was something quite unique,
On those small, precious yet thick little feet.
As I look through the window, I look to the sky,
Tears rolling down my face, I begin to cry.
Isaiah, Isaiah, oh, how I love thee,
Who could ever understand the relationship between you and me?
Your struggle wasn't very long, but what a great fight,
Finally God spoke, "Zay Zay close your eyes and sleep tight!"
Angels are rejoicing and full of joy,
Cause God knows to take special care of nannie's little boy!
Missing you more and more each day,
You will always be in my heart in every special way!
