"Mom, I Knew You Were There"
Mom, when I awaken this morning I was not afraid, because I knew
you were there.
When I got out of bed and kneed down to pray, I thank God for you
and how you have been by my side, I did not look to see, I knew
you were there.
When I got up to brush my teeth and wash my face and prepare
myself for the day, I did not look back to see if you were stand
at the door to say have a great day, I knew you were there.
When I felt lonely and needed someone to hold my hand, I did not
feel lonely long, I knew you were there.
Mom, the reason why I was not afraid, look to see, a look back,
nor feel lonely long. It is when I look toward heaven into the
face of God, "I Knew You Were There".
