I will fly

Born with a beauty
that only a mother could love
as in Hippo to hippo
Buffalo to buffalo
Platypus to platypus
Butterfly to well
caterpillar
Wrapped in silk
baptized in time,
an antennae emerges
The silk wrap
becoming the
opening of a womb
to the
opening of a wing
An array of color
flashes from the sun
and each
gentle flap
whispers
I will fly
I will fly
I will fly
